Say Kia Ora to our token Kiwi, Olivia!
Olivia grew up on a farm in the Manawatu - Wanganui region of New Zealand, then made her way down to the South Island to Christchurch then made landfall in Queenstown.
Queenstown caught her eye (like most people) due to the striking contrast between the mountains and the beautiful Lake Wakatipu. As an avid fan of the outdoors, from hiking, snowboarding to rock climbing she has all her bases covered!
After university she underwent studies in energy healing and completed her Reiki Practitioners Certification under two Reiki Masters in North Canterbury 4 years ago.
She completed my Diploma in Massage in Christchurch, where she was able to integrate the energy healing into a more tangible modality.
She has recently completed a Diploma in Lomilomi massage. This a traditional Hawaiian styled massage. It’s a deep relaxing experience, that switches the senses off to ultimately relax and release all tension.
Olivia love’s to work with a wide variety of people. From the sport focused, pregnant women, people suffering from chronic pain and those who wanting a more deep soothing relaxation focused massage.
Some of her favourite massage modalities are: Use her elbows to get those hard to reach spots, forearm, palms and knuckles!
She has also recently trained in (western) cupping and which she thinks is a perfect add on to any massage as it warms the muscle and fascia effectively within a short space of time! To then allow deeper trigger point work.
Olivia will also be taking her Dry Needling course in June & July which she is super excited for!
When she’s not massaging; She’s a very creative type who loves to draw, paint, sew, hike, snowboard, practise yoga and recently have been getting into rock climbing!
