TMJ Therapy
While TMJ (temporomandibular joint) massage is not necessarily its own treatment style, but we believe it deserves its own category because of the syndrome’s location and the way it is treated.
TMJ can be completely debilitating for some and just really annoying for others. Complaints include chronic headaches, dizziness, difficulty concentrating, pain or even teeth grinding. I use both external and intra-oral techniques in TMJ treatments, depending on your comfort level and need.
TMJ massage can be uncomfortable but our approach with the TMJ massage program is as gentle as possible. The TMJ massage treatment can be a full session devoted to the muscles of the head, maxilla, neck and shoulders, or be incorporated into one of our relaxation treatments.
If you would like a treatment solely focusing on TMJ, just ask your therapist to make that the focus. You can also select it as an "Add on" in the booking menu to any massage therapy you are booking. The add on treatment will be an additional 15 minutes.
